Text Box: Our teacher is Mrs Beverly Barbarich (or Mrs B for short) We are a class of Year 0-2 children. We have named our classroom after another of Captain Cooks Ships, the "Endeavour". In the morning we have fitness where we are all training for the cross country. After fitness some year 3 students join our class for maths. In maths time we are learning numbers up to 20, counting forwards and backwards, learning the numbers before and after, recognising the dots and patterns on the dice. We are playing maths games to help us with out counting and number recognition. The older children are learning addition and subtraction up to 20. We all have a turn on Mathletics which is a web based maths competition. Once a week we also have a basic facts maths test. We are very proud of the improvements we are making. Last week we went on a school trip to Waitomo Caves to learn about glow worms and the limestone caves. We are now going to have our own cave in the classroom, thank you to Mr Watson who has provided us with a cave entrance. In the first week of term we had Harold the giraffe visit and he taught us about our bodies needs-healthy food, sleep, exercise and plenty of water. Click here to see some photos of Harold
