Milo – Our School Cat

About a year ago, Milo wandered into our school and decided he was home. Since then, he’s become a much-loved (and slightly spoiled) member of our school whānau.

Milo is a true celebrity. He rotates through classrooms every two weeks, curling up in the juniors’ teepee or finding the warmest sunny spots. He’s also quite the scholar; Milo has excellent writing skills and graces the pages of all our newsletters with “Milo’s Mews,” giving fans a rundown of his adventures in each class.

Outside, he’s a chilled out dude who supervises pickleball games and watches students zoom down the slide without flinching. Whether he’s snoring loudly in the staffroom or being greeted with a “Milo, my man!” from an excited five-year-old, he is the heart of our school.

Unfortunately, Milo is currently unwell and struggling to eat. Several of his teeth are badly decayed and need to be removed. While our community kindly donates his food and a school family cares for him during holidays, we need to raise funds for this essential dental surgery.

Any donation – big or small – helps Milo get back to his favorite things: sunny naps, playground duties, and writing his next column. Thank you for caring for our favorite (and slightly noisy) community member.
