Principals comment

I can’t believe we are already at the halfway point of Term 2. Lots of great learning has been going on at Tahuna School. I would like to take this opportunity to welcome new families into our area and all the best with your farming season. Also best wishes to our existing farming families with your goals and aspirations.

Class Awards
Endeavour – Paige and Lottie
Endurance – Lennox and Sierra
Maungaturoto – Bruno and Kaycee
Discovery – Quinn and Kael

Congratulations to all our classroom award recipients.

ICARES Box Winners
We had many names in our ICARES box and well done to Eloise, Cooper, Jurous, Emerson, Skye, Arihana, Fletcher. The box winners were Hollie, Olivia and Lena.

World Book Day
Today we celebrated World Book Day. This event supports our key focus of participating and belonging, and encouraging reading for enjoyment. Our children looked amazing in their costumes and outfits that reflected their chosen book character. In our classrooms, book fever is humming, and the love of reading is something we need to support and cherish.

Pukemokemoke Trip
Wow! Our junior classrooms had such a great time on their trip to walk Mount Pukemokemoke. Amazing to hear the children buzzing about their trip and enjoying the experienced. We would like to thank a big group of parents who were able to provide transport and supervision.

Thank you
To Andrew and Fonterra,
Thank you for our hi vis vests! The junior children wore them on our trip to Pukemokemoke on Wednesday. They will be fantastic to use on other trips that we do.
From Tahuna School

Cross-Country
Our cross-country is on Friday the 10th June at the Tahuna golf club. Our children have been training hard on our cross-country training course. We look forward to seeing lots of Tahuna pride, effort and participation.

Life Education
We will have the Life Education bus at our school from June 16th to June the 20th. Endeavour’s focus will be on food and nutrition, Endurance and Maungaturoto will focus on social relationships, and Discovery will focus on identity and resilience.
